Dr. Kate Coysh is committed to helping each patient recover and reach their full potential. After achieving her B.S. in Kinesiology from Sonoma State University and a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, she is now gratefully settled in Oakland with her wife and two labradors.
Along with chiropractic work, Dr. Coysh is passionate about health and fitness with an emphasis on physical training. She has received the ACBSP CCSP® certification, completed Level I and II RockTape FMT courses, is a NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer.
Dr. Coysh knew chiropractic was going to be her career from an early age, after experiencing the magic of it first-hand. Her favorite thing about chiropractic is not simply the adjustments, but how even patients in excruciating pain, who can barely lay down on the table at the beginning of the visit, can leave with a smile on their face and relief in their eyes.
In her spare time, Dr. Coysh enjoys exploring new beaches, rivers, lakes, or anywhere her dogs can jump into large bodies of water. You will often find Dr. Coysh hiking through many of the East Bay's regional parks. In the past she has competed as a powerlifter, completed a variety of races, and played volleyball, softball and tennis.
Dr. Coysh loves meeting new patients and she is excited to help you reach your health goals at Dogwood Bodywork and Performance!
